Survey and Shipping Status

Just a quick update to let you know that the completed Backerkit surveys will be locked down tomorrow, this means you'll no longer be able to make changes to your survey and cards will then be charged for any add-ons or shipping costs.

Shipping Status

The mats are now in transit and we should  receive them early or mid-April; as soon as we have them we'll begin shipping them out to you.

The option to update or change your delivery address will remain open in Backerkit right up until we start shipping.

Almost all of the surveys have been completed, this makes arranging everything much smoother, so thank you.

The order has been placed with the factory and everything is looking on track to begin shipping mid April.

I'll aim to lock the surveys down in two weeks' time, this is when your cards will be charged for shipping and any add-ons added, BackerKit will also send an email out when this is about to happen.  

Up until the lock down you can modify your survey, and it'll still be possible to update shipping addresses right up until shipping starts.

The pre-order store will also stay open up until shipping starts, in case you know anyone who missed the campaign that would be interested in these mats.

Pledge Manager Incoming

Kickstarter have released the funds collected during the campaign so we can now progress to the Pledge Manager.

Key Points

This is quite a long update so here are the main points:

• We will be sending out the Pledge Manager Survey Invites after this update (it may take a few days for them all to be sent).
• You will receive an email with a customised link to your BackerKit Survey web page (this will be sent to the email address you have registered with KickStarter).
• Below are notes and screen shots detailing how to navigate and use the Pledge Manager Survey.
• This is where you enter shipping information, add on anything else you may want and finalise shipping.
• The pledge manager will automatically credit your link with the amount of money you pledged and have paid already via KickStarter.
• Additional add-on items and shipping will need to be paid for here. 
• Once you confirm your survey it's still possible to go back and makes changes up until your Survey is Locked Down (which is when we start processing confirmed surveys).
• Once your Survey is Locked Down you will NOT be able to make any further changes! We will send an update out before locking down pledges though.
• Credit Cards used to pay for Add-Ons and Shipping will not be charged until after your Survey is Locked Down (planned to be a few weeks away).

BackerKit Survey Walkthrough

I'll run through an example backer completing a survey.

This backer is US based and pledged £55 during the Kickstarter and selected both of the Mats (£55) as a Pledge Level.

It's possible to change your Pledge Level here if you wanted, via the 'Switch your pledge level' link. It's possible to switch between any of the levels with physical rewards (£30 or above). 

Switching here is how you'd change your chosen design(s) as they are linked to the pledges.

Next, you'll get a screen showing the rewards included in your pledge (top right), it'll also show the shipping based on total items.

There is also the option to select any Add-On items that you might like to add, there are three Add-on options, the two mats and a carry bag.

I've added the bag to this test backers order.

 Enter Shipping Details as required, these will be verified when you click next.

The final page is where you can double check the details and enter payment information required to cover extra costs such as shipping and Add-Ons.

That's it, your survey will be completed when you click 'Place My Order'

The plan is to run the Pledge manager for a few weeks before locking down orders and charging cards.

That's this Quickstarter campaign officially fully funded, from everyone here at Loke BattleMats (Matt and Tam), thank you all!   

What Happens Next

Kickstarter processes backers' details and takes payments for funds pledged, this takes around two weeks. Once Kickstarter releases the backer information and funds. We put that information in to our Pledge Manager (Backerkit) and send out pledge surveys to all backers when ready.

In the Pledge Manager, you'll be able to arrange shipping and any optional add-on items.

We'll give more details and a walk-through nearer the time.

The planned timeline is to have the mats ready to begin shipping in April.

The Final Countdown

Just 12 hours left on this Quickstarter, and to say we're happy with how it's gone so far would be a massive understatement.

So, thanks to all you backers, these mats will be produced and become a retail product (although we won't make them publicly available before backers receive their mats first).

Here's a couple of photos to show how the same mat can be used for two completely different settings, with a couple of miniatures for scale.

These are both taken using the different sides of the Red Star / Grass mat prototype.

The next update should be after we finish with a funded campaign, where we'll detail the next steps and expected timelime.
